Today the Gamecocks came out to face an explosive Bulldog team and the game was everything they expected and more. Trailing most of the game, SC had to huge plays to keep them in the game, both to Star RB Marcus Lattimore. The offensive line deserves the majority of the credit as it was their huge blocking on both plays that allowed QB Conner Shaw to be able to connect with Lattimore. Both teams looked poised in overtime and on a Lattimore fumble the gamecocks thought all was lost but as the Bulldogs lined up to kick the game winning field goal all the Gamecocks could do was watch I think they played one hell of a game but as the ball left the kickers foot and went wide left, new life came into the Gamecocks and Lattimore told the defense if you hold them I will do the rest. The defense held the Bulldogs to a FG and then the offensive stepped on the field and Lattimore told the line, "Just sell out for me one this play and we will be rewarded. I will do the rest!" The ball was snapped and on the counter play Lattimore hit the corner and took it all the way to the 2 yard line. After that the line gave him a hole and the rest was history.

As much as I like to talk smack, this game was the toughest one I had to face in a long long time. I have seen many coaches and teams but this Bulldog team came to play. They brought the pain but lucky for us we took painkillers! Hopefully the recruits in attendance at today's game enjoyed the show as it was one for the ages...

Glad someone else looked at box score and statistics and saw he got whipped too
